Edwin Parshall, son of Hendee and Sarah A. Parshall, was born in Wayne County, New York about
1840. Edwin Parshall enlisted, at the age of 22, as a private on August 7, 1862 in Company A,
111 New York Infantry Regiment. He was promoted to Full Corporal on August 20, 1862 and later
to Full Sergeant. He was then promoted to Full Lieutenant 1st Class of Company A, 111 New
York Infantry Regiment on January 25, 1864. Edwin Parshall was wounded in battle on June
22, 1864 at Petersburg, Virginia and died of his wounds on July 25, 1864. His body was
returned to Wayne County and is buried in the Palmyra Vienna Street Cemetery.

Rossman J. Parshall, son of Hendee and Sarah A. Parshall, was born in Wayne County, New
York about 1845. Rossman J. Parshall enlisted, at the age of 19, as a private on August 22,
1864 in Company A, 111 New York Infantry Regiment. He was promoted to Full Sergeant on 28
October 1864. Rossman J. Parshall was then promoted to Full Lieutenant 2nd Class on 03
June 1865 effective 17 June 1865. He mustered out of Company A, 111 New York Infantry
Regiment on 04 June 1865 in Alexandria, Virginia.
