In the matter of the proof of the
Last will and testament of Jacob
P. Garlock deceased
Affidavit of Death &c. and
Consent of special guardian.
Filed 31st July 1843
State of New York }
Wayne County } ss: Richard Garlock of the town of Marion in said
County, being duly sworn, deposes and says that Jacob P. Garlock died a
natural death, on the nineteenth day of June 1843, at the town of Marion
aforesaid, which was the place of his residence at the time of his
death. That the said deceased left a last will and testament which
relates to both real and personal estate. That this deponent, Jacob
Garlock and Edgar M. Galloway all of Marion aforesaid, are named as
Executors in said will. That the said deceased left a widow Maria
Garlock of Marion aforesaid. That Anna Kenyon the wife of Friend
Kenyon, Solomon Garlock, this deponent Richard Garlock, Jacob Garlock,
Eliza Garlock, Juliette Garlock, Catharine Garlock, Alfred Garlock,
Abraham Garlock and George Duel the son of Maria Duel deceased who was
the wife of William Duel, all of Marion aforesaid, are the heirs at law
and next of kin to the said deceased, and are respectively of the age of
twenty one years and upwards, except the said Eliza Garlock, Juliette
Garlock, Catharine Garlock, Alfred Garlock, Abraham Garlock and George
Duel, who are minors under the age of twenty one years, and have no
guardian within this state - and further says not.

Garlock dec'd } I, Marvin Rich of the town of Marion in the county of Wayne and State of New York, do hereby consent to serve as special guardian to Eliza Garlock, Juliette Garlock, Catharine Garlock, Alfred Garlock, Abraham Garlock and George Duel, minors, in the proceedings aforesaid.
