Mortgage Sale. Default has been made in the payment of four hundred and forty
five dollars and ten cents, which is claimed to be due at the date of this notice
on a mortgage given by Friend Kinyon and Nancy his wife, to Abram Garlock on the
7th of September 1854 and recorded in the office of the clerk of county of Wayne
on the 18th of November 1854 in liber 36 of Mortgages at folio(?) 268. which
mortgage was here duly assigned to Levi Clark, notice is therefore hereby given
that the premises covered by said Mortgage, to wit, all that tract of land in the
town of Marion, Wayne County, New-York, bounded as follows on the north by
William Cogswell's private road, on the east by lands of said William Cogswell,
on the south by lands James H. Curtis, on the west by lands of Young & Hestor,
and the highway leading from Marion Corner, southerly towards New-ark, (sic)
containing one acre of land, same more or less, will be sold in pursuance of the
statute in such as made and provided at public auction on the 21st day of
December 1855 at ten o'clock in the fore noon of that day at the office of Archer
& Corning in the village of Palmyra. Dated September 20, 1855.

that he is and during the whole time herein after mentioned, has been the
publisher and proprietor of the Wayne Sentinel, a newspaper printed and published
in the county of Wayne aforesaid: and that the annexed printed notice of sale was
inserted and published in the said newspaper twelve weeks successively, at least
once in each week, the said publication commencing on the 20th day of September
1855 and terminating on the 20th day of December 1855

on the 21st day of September 1855 he affixed a notice of which the annexed
printed notice is a just and true copy on the outward door of the building where
the county courts are directed to be held in the county of Wayne aforesaid.

about the 12th day of November 1855 he did personally serve Nancy Kinyon with a
notice of sale of which the above annexed printed notice is a copy, by delivering
a jut and true copy of said notice at her dwelling in Marion in said county of Wayne

Wayne County } ss Ornon Archer of said county being duly sworn says that he
sold the premises described in the above annexed printed notice at public auction
at the time and place of sale therein mentioned to wit; on the 21st day of
December 1855 at ten O'clock in the forenoon at the office of Archer and Corning
in the village of Palmyra in the county of Wayne aforesaid; and that Jacob
Garlock then and there purchased the same for the price of four hundred and
seventy dollars, he being the highest bidder and that being the highest sum bid
due for the same. And this deponent further saith that said sale was made in the
day time and in all respects, honestly, fairly and legally conducted according to
his best knowledge and belief, and also that that said Jacob Garlock purchased
the said premises fairly and in good faith as he verily believes.
