Samuel Gardner died Saturday Sept. 23, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence VerHow, at 36 East street, at the age of 80 years. Besides. Mrs. VerHow, he leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Newton Johncox of Palmyra, and Dora B. Gardner of Fairport; two brothers and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon. Rev. E. B. Taft officiating, and burial was made in the Macedon Center cemetery, Mr. Gardner having formerly lived in that village.

Mrs. Martha Hadden passed away Tuesday afternoon at her home after a brief illness, at the age of eighty three years and six months. She was born in Mentz, Cayuga County, coming to Macedon with her husband in 1865, where she has since resided. A severe illness fourteen years ago left her in weakened physical condition and she has since lived a retired life, loved and respected by her neighbors for her many good qualities and cheerful disposition. For several weeks she has been failing and an attack of bronchitis hastened the end. She leaves one daughter, Mrs John Baker, a granddaughter and a grandson The funeral was held from her late home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. John MacGuidwin officiating. Interment in the village cemetery. (NOTE: d. Dec 21, 1920)
Anna Vane was the daughter of John Vane & Sssarah Smith Vane, also buried in this cemetery. Anna was the wife of MOSES N. Herald who served in the Civil War. He is buried in Manchester Village Cemetery, in Ontario County NY.

Wayne County Journal, Thursday, Sept 27, 1928, page 2:
Henry Greene, a highly respected resident of Farmington, passed away Thursday, September 20, aged 87 years. He was born in Rochester on Scio street, January 21, 1841 and was 87 years of age. When five years old his parents moved to Macedon, the journey being made by Erie canal where he resided until he purchased the Seth Bosworth farm in Farmington in 1875 and has resided in this town ever since.
On December 17, 1873 he was united in marriage to Cynthia Carpenter, only daughter of Isaac and Sarah Carpenter, who passed away October 20, 1898.
He was a man of sterling character, honest and upright in all his ways, of excellent business ability, his judgment was prized by many. He was superintendent of highways for 13 years, president of the North Farmington Cemetery Association, the first to agitate the founding of the organization and gave the first fund to the promotion of the same. He was president of this association and conducted the last meeting which was held August 25. He was the first to suggest and solicit funds for the vault which has recently been erected in the North Farmington cemetery and which is a memorial to him. Greene was an ardent member and did a great deal of the work for Farmington Grange, always attending when his health permitted and was Master of the Grange for three terms, the last time when he was 78 years old. He was given the honor a few years ago of being made life member of the Grange.
He leaves his wife Carrie Haynes Greene, who he married on September 2, 1920; one brother Charles A. Greene of Macedon, a niece, Mrs. Alice Eglin of Elkhorn, Wis., one nephew, Charles Greene of St. Paul, Minn., two sons, George W. Greene of Macedon, Joseph I. Greene of Farmington; five grandchildren, Clara Florence M., Gladys P., Charlotte O. and George H. Greene of Farmington.
The funeral-was held from his old home on Sunday, September 23 at 2.00 o'clock. Services were conducted by Rev. Isaac Wilson of Buck Hills, Pa., who stated the gathering of friends at the home who came to pay their last respects was the largest he had ever attended. The profusion of floral tributes evidenced the esteem in which he was held.
