This Macedon Center Cemetery has about 1900 burials. The list was compiled from an "old " list (1939), with entries - e.g. Smith, John, Dec. 14 1875, 75y 6m 12d; from the actual records of the Secretary of the Cemetery Association which were started, by state law, in 1924 and then the Superintendent and the compiler physically went through grave by grave and updated all records as best they could. The line under surname is the maiden name of the wife. These lists were originally compiled and alphabetized during July 1997 and updated as burials took place and completed in August 2001.
The Cemetery is located one mile north of the four corners in Macedon Center, on the Canandaigua Road. It is on the west side
of the road and overlooks the rolling hills and beautiful farmlands. If you wish to find the location of the lot of your
individual(s), go to the Town of Macedon Public Library, or to the Office of the Wayne County Historian in Lyons, NY, and
look in the Genealogy area for this list and in the front there will be a map with the number and location of the lots.
