Will of Thomas Cornell (AKA: Thomas Cornwell).
To all whom it may concern, know ye that I, Thomas Cornell, of the town of Williamson and County of Ontario (Wayne County) and State of New York, viewing myself dangerously sick and may be called shortly out of this world and also being in my right mind and having the right and perfect use of my reason and mental faculties have thought fit and proper disposition of my property both real and personal.
Firstly; I do will and bequeath unto my wife, Susanna, and my two sons, Samuel and Seth, one third part of all my property both real and personal exclusive of all debts ordinaries that may be against me.
Secondly, I do will and bequeath unto my two sons, William and Eason, the other two thirds of my estate both personal and real with the following exception, for my daughter Betsy (wife of John Galloway) to have and receive from the two thirds last mentioned twenty dollars and likewise my daughter, Susanna, twenty dollars also out of the two thirds aforesaid and my daughter, Sally, I will and bequeath out of the above mentioned two thirds forty dollars and I do also will and bequeath unto my son, Caleb, fifty acres of land off of the south end of the lot on which I now live, my mother to be maintained out of the last mentioned two thirds of my estate.
And I do further will and appoint William Eddy and David Eddy executers of this Will. Witness my hand and seal at Williamson this 8th day of March in the year of our lord 1813 in presence of Joseph Morrison, Seth Tucker, Seth Eddy.
