This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty one between Henry Lovell and Mary his wife of the town of Sodus in the county of Wayne and State of New York of the first part and Maxson Kenyon of the same town county and State aforesaid of the second part witnesseth That the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars lawful money of the State of New York to them duly paid have sold and by these presents doth grant and convey to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns All that tract or parcel of land situate in the town Sodus County of Wayne and State of New York known and distinguished as follows: beginning in the center of the highway leading South from the Sodus Hotel recently kept by William Fowler and at a stake at the south east corner of a lot formerly owned and occupied by Elizabeth Noble and now occupied __ widow Nancy Knight Thence westerly along the south line of said Elizabeth Nobles lot to the south west corner of said lot and to the south west corner of the lot now occupied by Widow Nancy Knight: Thence in a southerly direction along a board fence to the corner of a lot as now fenced in: Thence in an easterly direction along a post and board fence which is on the south line of said lot to the center of the highway: Thence northerly along the center of the highway to the place of beginning containing one half of an acre of land be the same more or less and bounded as follows on the north by a Village lot occupied by Widow Nancy Knight on the west by lands owned by William Sergeant: On the south by lands and Village lot owned and occupied by William Shaver and on the east by the center of the highway. For this description reference is had to a deed from Damil W. Gibbs and Cornelia V. his wife to the said Henry Lovell & Lorenzo D. Lovell bearing date February 27th 1860 and Recorded on the second day of May 1860 at 3 oclock P.M. in Liber 75 of Deeds at page 296 with the appurtenances and all the estate title and interest therein of the said party of the first part And the said Henry Lovell and Mary Lovell doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that the premises thus conveyed in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns they will forever warrant and defend against any person whomsoever lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof
