This Indenture made this twenty seventh day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty one between Maxson Kenyon and Anna E. his wife of the Town of Sodus in the County of Wayne and State of New York of the first part and Henry Lovell and Mary Lovell wife of Henry Lovell of the town county and state aforesaid of the second part witnesseth That the said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars lawful money of the State of New York to them duly paid have sold and by these presents do grant and convey to the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns All that tract or parcel of land situate in the town of Sodus in the County of Wayne and State of New York aforesaid; Known and distinguished as the north half of the west and middle subdivisions of lot number nine (9) in the second range of lots in Township number Fourteen in the first range of of Townships: The premises hereby conveyed containing twelve and one half acres and four one hundredths of an acre of land and bounded as follows. Viz: on the west and south by the respective north west and south lines of said subdivisions; on the east by lands owned and occupied by Robert Gordon and on the west by the center of the highway containing Twelve and one half and four one hundredths of an acre of land be the same more or less with the appurtenances and all the estate title and interest herein of the said party of the first part And the said Maxson Kenyon and Anna E. Kenyon doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns that the premises thus conveyed in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns they will forever warrant and defend against any person whomsoever lawfully claiming the same or any part thereof

        In witness whereof The party of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

Wayne County        }ss: On this twenty seventh day of November in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty one before me the subscriber personally appeared Maxson Kenyon and Ann E. Kenyon his wife to me known to be the same persons described in and who executed the within instrument who severally acknowledged that they executed the same; and the said Ann E. Kenyon his wife in a private examination by me apart from her said husband acknowledged that she executed the same freely and without any fear or compulsion of her said husband.
