George L. Neal was born in Chippenham, Cambridgeshire, England in 1854 and died in Newark in 1931.

Obituary of my great-grandmother, Ella Clay Neal, from the Buffalo Courier, March 22, 1921:

NEAL - In this city, Ella Neal, beloved wife of George L. Neal, mother of George R. Neal of this city, Edward M. Neal of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mrs. Frank McEvoy of Rochester, N.Y., Langley C. Neal of Elmira, N.Y., Thomas N. Neal of Newark, N.Y., and she also leaves 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral will be held at the home of Thomas N. Neal, No. 9 Wilson Street, Newark, N.Y., Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rochester, N.Y. papers please copy.

Maude Conklin Neal was my grandmother, married to Edward M. Neal (son of Ella and George Neal). Edward died in 1958 in a VA hospital in Houston and is buried in a Houston cemetery.
